Hailing from Bulgaria, owner Stoian “Stoli” Genoff also makes sure customers are well-fed with salads, crepes, and paninis, plus stellar dessert offerings. But what about that coffee? Espresso, mocha, lattes, and the shop’s specialty iced frappes are all on tap. From Americano style coffee to cappuccino, and even a green tea latte, there’s plenty to sip on at this cozy spot.

The husband and wife team behind this cute and trendy shop – there’s a lively mural on the wall and comfortable booths – offer fair trade coffees such as Ethiopia whole bean, Felix and Leo blend, and Sumatra whole bean. Customers at Toasted and Roasted can select brew methods from simple pour-over to what the staff call a Steampunk coffee system. There are homemade waffles and crepes, and gluten-free pastries at this micro-coffee roaster and café, which also offers Bulletproof coffee.

At Stir Crazy, hot coffee can be ordered bottomless, and friendly baristas circulate through the shop topping off cups. With free Wi-Fi, free newspapers, and tasty sandwiches, salads, and desserts, customers would be stir-crazy not to linger while they caffeinate. Yes, there are awesomely original ice cream flavors here, but Neveux Creamery & Espresso Bar is also well known for their coffee. The most popular drinks are reportedly the fine lattes, with customer preference for hot or iced depending on the weather. All coffee is fair trade and organic, and sourced from Vancouver-based 49th Parallel coffee roasters. Macchiatos, cappuccinos, and single-origin coffees are all served, as are Art of Tea black, white, green, and herbal teas and Halo Flower Tea which “blossoms” once served.

The French pastries are ooh-la-la good at Maison Richard, and there’s a lovely outdoor patio for al fresco dining. Coffees include American-style, espresso, cappuccino, and café au lait choices, as well as tea and hot chocolate. Serving breakfast all day long and a variety of lunch options too, Blu Jam Café is nevertheless well known for their coffees and teas, too. Mocha, latte, or macchiato, there’s something for every coffee drinker’s taste. Check out the French Press single origin coffee – currently a Coop San Lucas Toliman, from Guatemala, described as having complex chocolate notes. All espresso drinks are doubles, and there’s one free refill with hot or iced regular coffee or decaf. The Dirty Chai, a double espresso with spice Chai tea is also a popular choice. Sal’s Comedy Club and Restaurant

Comedy club, cozy Italian restaurant, and breakfast spot, Sal’s also has, no surprise, plenty of coffee including a Marble Iced Coffee, café au lait, and even a rich chocolate caramel cappuccino. According to the eponymous Sal, this spot serves breakfast all day, including popular items like a King Benedict and Nutella French Toast that make a great accompaniment to a cup of java.
